The P-Pod Chair

Epilepsy impacted Stephen Buches and his family daily. In November of 2021, the Buches family set up a GoFundMe to help raising money for medical equipment. The P Pod chair would allow Stephen to interact with his family, specifically his siblings, much easier. It would also provide him with the postural support that cannot be recreated at home with pillows and blankets. However, it was not covered by insurance.
The P Pod was born as a result of feedback from parents that were clamoring for an alternative seating device for the home that would provide all the clinical benefits their child’s needs, while allowing them to actively participate with the family.
The P Pod did just that. Through its vibrant colors and bean bag like design, the P Pod offers a warm, fun and engaging look with a specially molded foam liner that provides outstanding positional support and comfort.
As the fundraiser goal was quickly reached, Stephen not only was able to use his new chair to be more interactive with the family, but it provided the Buches family with the spark to create Stephen’s Hulksters Angel Fund as a way to give back to others in similar situations.
